Erin K. Komada Esq.

Associate Attorney

Erin K. Komada, Esquire, focuses her practice on Family Law, Divorce, Support, Child Custody and Adoption.

Having joined Scaringi Law in February 2014, Ms. Komada has clerked for the Court of Common Pleas in Dauphin and Cumberland counties. Her experiences provided her with a keen insight into how to best represent clients in Family Law, Divorce and Custody cases.

Most recently as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Bernard L. Coates, Jr. in Dauphin County, Ms. Komada handled emergency child custody petitions that weighed arguments surrounding parental fitness and child endangerment issues. Her work gave her a clear understanding of how to present a case that will resonate with Family Court judges as they look to protect the best interests of children.

Working as a law clerk/judicial intern in Cumberland County Court, Ms. Komada drafted court orders and opinions in civil and criminal proceedings and conducted legal research on a variety of procedural and substantive issues.

As an intake volunteer with the Women's Bar Foundation Family Law Project for Battered Women in Boston, she worked closely with pro bono attorneys who provided Family Law legal aid to victims of domestic violence as they grappled with child custody, child support, divorce and protection from abuse issues.

Ms. Komada's experience is coupled with a strong desire to make direct, immediate and positive impacts on the lives of her clients. Personable and approachable, she relishes developing the close relationships with clients that are an inherent part of Family Law, Custody and Divorce cases. In short, Ms. Komada is a determined, knowledgeable and compassionate legal champion for the best interests of her clients and their children.

Ms. Komada is a 2011 graduate of Boston University School of Law, Boston, Mass., achieving honors as note development editor for The Boston University International Law Journal. She obtained her Masters in English in 2008 from St. John's University, Jamaica, NY, graduating summa cum laude and achieving honors as a Graduate Assistant.

She received her Bachelor's in English in 2007, also from St. John's University, again graduating summa cum laude. Honors included the Silver Key Award for achieving the highest junior GPA in her major.
