Each facility which sells food products must employ at least one supervisor who is food safety certified by a nationally-recognized ANSI-CFP class.
To fulfill your food safety training requirement, you must complete a 16 hour certification course.
These certificates are mandatory, and must be renewed every 5 years.
New businesses have 90 days to demonstrate that they have a Certified Food Manager.
If an existing establishment loses their certification due to employee turnover, they also have 90 days from the day the certified employee left to get certified and compliant.
